Tudor Homes

The Tudor Homes Style: Tudor homes originated in England and became popular in America in the early nineteenth century. The most prominent feature is the "half-timbering", which originated by creating a timber structure filled between the timbers with mortar. Tudor homes also generally have a steeply pitched roof with cross gables. Tudor chimneys are usually massive and capped with decorative chimney pots. Tudor exteriors are most commonly made of brick, stucco, or stone with wood timbers.
