Experience
When we met
with Joan she expressed a need for a master suite and a larger gathering/dining
space that related better to her kitchen. She was willing to sacrifice
a bedroom, but didn't know how all of the spaces would work together.
It soon became
apparent that if the long hallway wall was eliminated, it would
open up the feel and circulation of the whole home, and take better
advantage of their fantastic view of the valley. Rather than a dark
tunnel, the space became an extension of the newly created great
room. This key design feature became the highlight of the project
for Joan while also underscoring the creative approach to problem
solving in design that was used.
